Red onion, Italian herb & cheese scones

Perfect for weekend baking.

Ingredients
330g Wessex Mill Strong White Flour
4 tsp baking powder
50g fridge temp Lurpak butter
1 tsp salt
2 tsp Italian seasoning
150g grate cheese
1/2 large red onion chopped finely and fried
120ml oat milk
1 egg whisked
Method
Preheat the oven to 220C
Sift the flour and baking powder in the bowl
Cube the butter and add to the bowl
With hands or a mixer turn the mix into a fine crumb
Mix in the salt, Italian seasoning and grated cheese
Fry the red onion in olive oil, after a few mins, once transparent add the oat milk and warm through
Pour into the dry mix
Mix with spoon and then with hands bring the mix together into a soft ball
Lay on a floured work surface and cut into scone shapes
Lay on a baking tray and brush some egg on the top
Put in the oven for 30 mins
